چکیده

The increased demand for portable electronic devices and electric vehicles has resulted in an exponential increase lithium-ion battery (LIB) waste, becoming turn important secondary source critical metals. Electrowinning is a commonly used method to recover base precious metals from solution, which can also be valuable spent LIBs. This study unveiled the cobalt electrochemical recovery using model Co sources increasing amounts of ethylene glycol (EG), 67 molar %, 82 % 100 mixture with choline chloride. results show that amount EG together small concentration sulfate anions, conjunction chloride solution favours reduction 2+ . improved electrochemistry seems related changes speciation easing process. Additionally, nature salt significant impact on efficiency, morphology, purity electrodeposit. work will underpin science design safe electrolyte mixtures enhance sources.

Copper Electrodeposition from a Water-Containing Choline Chloride Based Deep Eutectic Solvent

This study investigated the effect of water on the physical and electrochemical properties of a choline chloride deep eutectic solvent (DES). Physical and electrochemical measurements were performed on the DES containing varying amounts of water. When the water content was increased from 1% to 15 wt%, the viscosity and density declined while the conductivity increased significantly. Similarly, ...

A facile approach to prepare a dual functionalized DNA based material in a bio-deep eutectic solvent.

DNA (Salmon testes) was functionalized by Fe3O4 nanoparticles and protonated layered dititanate sheets (H2·Ti2O5·H2O) in a mixture of choline chloride and ethylene glycol (a deep eutectic solvent) to yield a hybrid material having magnetic and antibacterial properties. Ti sheets were found to interact with the phosphate moieties, while Fe interacted with the base pair of DNA in the hybrid mater...

Deep Eutectic Solvent Based on Choline Chloride/Urea as an Efficient Catalytic System for the One-Pot Synthesis of Highly Functionalized 1,4-Dihydropyridines and Polysubstituted 4H-Chromenes

One-pot four-component synthesis of polyfunctionalized 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives was developed by a condensation of aldehydes, malononitrile, diethylacetylenedicarboxylate and aniline in the presence of choline chloride/urea as a deep eutectic solvent (DES)at room temperature. Moreover, an efficient method was reported for the synthesis of highly substituted 4H-chromenes through one-...

The Properties of Choline Chloride-based Deep Eutectic Solvents and their Performance in the Dissolution of Cellulose

A series of choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents (ChCl-DESs) were synthesized and characterized, and their performance in the dissolution of cellulose was investigated. The hydrogen-bond donors significantly (β-value) affected the properties of ChCl-DESs, causing differentiated dissolution performances. ChClimidazole (Im) showed the highest Hammett acidity function (1.869), hydrogen bo...
